Divine Providence Home-History

History

Divine Providence Community is an apostolic community attached to a physically Challenged boys center at Vissannapeta. It was founded by late Fr. Mario Fumagalli PIME, an Italian priest. After his death in the year 1998, the PIME Congregation handed over the Institution to Vijaywada Diocese. The then Bishop of the Diocese, Most Rev. Marampudi Joji, entrusted the center to us namely the Congregation of the Sons of Immaculate Conception (CFIC) to take care of it. Since the same being one of our Charisms, we undertook it with much love and care. The center has been under us since 1998, 14th September. Today Divine Providence home provides accommodation and facilities for 55 boys, both physically challenged and the normal boys who are economically backward and orphaned. Among them 20 are physically challenged boys. All of them are regular students starting from Vth standard to the P.G.
